Howards Bonfire

Well, here we are lining up to shoot our own and or someone elses Pistoles.
All wearing proper attire and under careful instruction of Mike and Patty. See we are responsible people.
That is untill the .44 Magnum came out....ha ha

No automatics.....ooohhhh noooooo, none.

Howards Bonfire

Relaxing against his arsenal of stuff to shoot, big Joe contemplates which of his cannons he's going to shoot next.

Howards Bonfire

As you can see, we had just about everything we could want to shoot. A Smorgasborge of guns, a Plethora of pistols, a Miriad of Magazines.....enough of all that. We shot a lot of lead through paper.....

Howards Bonfire

Something wrong here, the guns empty and the Cans should be over the ears, well maybe it was a practice, yes thats what it was practice..........

Howards Bonfire

Here is Mein Host enjoying putting holes in some paper. Not sure what he's got there but you can bet its got big bullets!!

Howards Bonfire

Ah here we are again relaxing by the tractor, OO Arrr missus.
Just trying to soak up the last rays of sunlight....

Howards Bonfire

Ahh, this must be the trouble, its still daylight, the fire is burning like a Cadillac in Detriot, and there's no one there to enjoy it.......its 80 degrees guys....!!

Howards Bonfire

As for this picture, either these guys know something we don't and are running away, OOr they are trying to do a rain dance to put the darn thing out!!!
Not sure.

Howards Bonfire

Again some brought chairs and other brough a John Deer Tractor to sit in!!!!!!

Howard's Bonfire

Thank God some of us remembered to bring chairs, as you can see the sun was out and we are all relaxed.

Howard's Bonfire

After a long day of shootin n eatin we need to relax and scratch, what's that crawling up my leg. Arghh

Piqua Heritage Festival

Piqua Heritage Festival

Just had to start with this one. Not sure if this guy has any indian blood in him at all or that he in interested in the festival, he just seemed happy to wander around letting it all hang out. Of course I had to start with this one as our brave adventurers just HAD to go over and have a picture taken. he said that he came from a tribe that wandered through long rough grass, they were called,..... wait for it.......the "Oh me Tingy Tribe"
You knew it was coming didn't ya?

Piqua Heritage Festival

Vietnam Wall

I just had to put this one first. My Wife enjoying every minute of this ride. She was waving and Hollering at everyone and they were yelling back at her. This picture was taken by our friend Stacey as we were coming through Sidney on to the final stretch of the journey. This is what it's all about!!

The wall is up and fior view at the Custerborder Fields in Sidney through this week and the Healing fields of flags will be there for a couple of days longer, so please go out and see them.

"God Bless America"

Vietnam Wall

Me, my father in Law and the flags of our country, doesn't get much better than that.

Vietnam Wall

Here we are just waiting for the rest of the gang to show up at the VFW in Sidney.getting warm now...

Vietnam Wall

The guys just talking about crochet and nitting!!!

Vietnam Wall

More and more riders keep coming in to Wapak. The line of bikes never ends.

Vietnam Wall

Well here we are at the Chevy dealership. Just one of the many parking lots in Wapakoneta that held the riders until the 6:30pm start time.

Vietnem Wall

Oh my God, this was what we saw when the parking lot was filled up. There's me in the stetson. Funny enough I put it on so that I would get more pictures but no one seemed to notice it. Typical though.

Anyway, the procession took over an hour to get here and then another hour until the last bike came in.
This is absolutley awsome. SO many bikes and so many patriotic people. Its so unbeleivable. Estimated bikes were over 3,500. Papers in the morning say 5,000, where di they all come from?

Vietnam Wall Run

Getting dark now, so need to find a gap in all this to get out and off home for something to eat!!!

Now I know I left the bike here somewhere!, maybe it was back that way>>......
It's another warm one lets get moving folks never mind the pictures!!!!
One of Don's chain stores. Didn't really take off!!
Looks more like an old folks album cover than bike ride pictures,,,no offense of course!!

AMA Museum

And finally for today, this picture had to go in. Sunday is Deb's day and as such she is wearing the pants on this day, that's why Jerry's in the sidecar. Nice to know who's drinving now and then!!!

AMA Museum

I had to put this one in here, this is a BSA Sports. Never seen one of these before in my life. Its a beauty isn't it?

AMA Museum

I did actually get the pleasure of watching Wayne Raynie ride and of course the inaffable Kenny Roberts in the Transatlantic Trophy ran each year in England. Our home town rider was Barry Sheen and the two of them would play Cat and Mouse all the way through the race, great days.

AMA Museum

This Honda 50cc is absolutley nothing like the one I had. This looks very much like it will run. I had to heat the spark plug in the oven at home before the darn thing would fire up.

AMA Museum

Now all that can be said about this is that it must be something that Howard put together in hius wood shop at some time and eventually it ended up in the museum, where most of your memebers were at home!!

Ride to the AMA Museum in Pickerington Ohio

Good turn out for this ride with 14 bikes and 17 riders. Managed to get there without getting lost. As you can see we are a mature bunch and not without a meal or two either. For some reason our light colored T shirts glowed in the sun a bit but after all it was Sunday so there may be something to be said about that!!
